What is your knowledge of the Technology curriculum? It has changed considerably since I was at school and is no longer the “sewing and cooking” or “metalwork and woodwork” it used to be. Those courses were based on acquiring technical skills in specific areas and are still in the curriculum in a small capacity. However, in our Technology programme, your daughter/son is also learning future-focused skills, including problem-solving, designing for a purpose in a global setting, and learning to consider the people being designed for and the impact this has on our planet. Students develop the ability to think and problem-solve through a proven process. It’s a real experience and a process your child may enjoy and take away to solve future problems.
