This is the preliminary course on the way to learning the technology design process in the context of wood. This process can be applied to any technology and, more importantly, the problem-solving skills are transferable to any issue or problem. The courses at junior level, including the Design process, planning, brief development, practical skills with hand tools, welding and brazing using large fixed machinery, are taught to create an outcome that functions well. Moving forward into the senior school, these outcomes and processes become more authentic in a global sense, using sustainability as an example.
