Senior Prizegiving 2023 - recording now available

Kia ora e te whaanau,
Dear Parents / Caregivers,

Congratulations to all of our prize winners, performers and student leaders. Our senior prizegiving was a wonderful night of celebration and a great showcase of the talented students we have at Cambridge High School.

For those of you that couldn’t make it or have friends and family who would like to see the moment your child shines, have edited the footage and stored the video on our YouTube channel. Here is the link.

I want to thank the following people for bringing the evening together.

  • Vanessa Tupp and the media team for recording and editing the video.

  • Sandra McKinnon for the huge amount of work bringing the celebration together.

  • Our caretaking staff, Neil and James, for their massive amount of setup work.

  • Michelle Santy for all her work behind the scenes.

  • The music dept, in particular Daniel Peters and Lisa Norman for the performances.

  • Te Piringa Maaori o Tauiwi (our kapa haka group) and Rangiamoa Heta and Katie Wynyard for their work across the year with these fantastic performers.

  • The prize sponsors for their support of the evening and our students.

  • The large team of volunteers that contributed to making the night such a success.

Finally, I want to thank the staff and community of Cambridge High School for the care and hard work you have all put into CHS students and their development. The range of opportunities available to our students, the high quality of learning experience and their outstanding achievements are a direct result of our collective efforts. It was wonderful to take the time on Tuesday night to celebrate the range of success of our students through our arts and sports programmes and in the progress they have made in the classroom.

Congratulations once again to our prize winners and all the best for the NCEA external examinations.

Ngaa mihi
