TRUSTEE

Mr Nick Andree-Wiltens

Hi there, my name is Nick Andree-Wiltens and it is a privilege to serve on the Cambridge High School Board of Trustees.

I was brought up on a farm in Hora Hora and I completed my secondary school education at Cambridge High in the mid 1990’s, before completing qualifications in science at the University of Waikato, and advanced sustainable nutrient management at Massey University.

Apart from an overseas experience where I lived and worked in the UK, I have spent the last twenty-odd years working in the agriculture sector as a farm manager, and also working for agricultural co-operatives involved in the manufacturing and distribution of fertiliser, and more recently in the dairy processing sector.  My work experience involves farm management; and assisting farmers with nutrient management, agronomy, sustainability, farm efficiency, compliance, and food safety & quality.  I’m also a member of the NZ Institute of Primary Industry Management.

I currently have one child attending Cambridge High School and my youngest child is due to begin attending in 2026.  My reason for joining the Board is to build on the current great culture that we have at the school, and to continue to foster a culture of academic excellence.  I also want to ensure that the school maintains an environment which allows our children to mature and grow so that they are well prepared for life beyond school, and become productive members of society.  The key to achieving these outcomes is to have great teachers and support staff, so it is a priority of mine to make sure that we meet their needs, and remain an employer of choice.
