Year 9 Media Studies is a six month taster course that allows students to explore the fundamentals of media studies. 

Media Studies looks into close reading film, writing media texts, elements of genre and creating a media product. 

In a modern world it is important that students have the opportunity to explore and evaluate media imagery, texts and the role that they have in a social context.
