Hockey at Cambridge High School caters for a range of ages and ability levels, and we offer the option of both social and competitive teams.

Hockey is played in Term Two and Three on weeknights either in Hamilton or at St Peters.

Our competitive players are encouraged to pursue Waikato Representative teams. Our U15 Boys, 1st XI Boys and 1st XI Girls teams also attend Interschool Tournaments.

Practice Times:  Practice times are after school, and the times and days are determined by which team the player is in. The venue for training will also be dependent on the team.

Fees:  Approx $320 for our 1st XI players and $250 for our other teams.

Uniform:  All playing uniform is provided.

Gear Required:  The player MUST provide their own mouth and shin guards. They are a requirement to be permitted to play. They also must have their own stick. Hockey Sticks may be available to hire for the season if cost is preventative to a student playing.

Important Dates:

Pre-Season Hit Around - 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th February at St Peters from 6.00 - 8.00pm. Get yourself hockey ready for trials! This will be fun, but serious too! If you want to join CHS Hockey and crack the team of your dreams - be there!

Trials - Thursday 27th March, Thursday 3rd April at St Peters. One additional date to be added in March at Gallaghers.
