Teenaa koutou,
Dear Parents / Caregivers
We have received confirmation that the planned Strike Action that will take place on Thursday 11th May.
That means that the disruption this week is as follows:
Tuesday 9th May – Year 12 rostered home.
Thursday 11th May – Regional strike action. CHS will be closed for instruction to all students.
The mediated negotiations have shown promise. I hope the government are getting closer to providing an offer that recognises the incredible effort and skill that our profession brings to the development of the youth of our community.
As a reminder here are the expectations for Thursday:
We recognise the impact that CHS closing can have on our community and we will provide a supervised study room for those students that need to attend school for the day. Please contact the Student Office to confirm that your child will be at school on this day. These students will be supervised by our teaching staff who are not members of PPTA. If you need to make use of this, your child must sign in at the Student Office at the start of the day and then head to the Library.
The day will follow normal timings for breaks etc.
Buses will not be running.
Ngaa mihi
Kind regards
Greg Thornton
Principal
