Assessing student progress in their learning can take different forms and be both formal and informal. Examples can include building a portfolio of work, sitting a test, completing work outside of class or participating in a field trip. 

Assessment expectations are clearly signposted to students and they are provided feedback so that they are always well-prepared to perform at their best.
