Emily Barea was honoured as the Cambridge High School Dux for 2019. Emily’s academic track record throughout her years at Cambridge High School has been exceptional. She has received academic awards at every year level and was our Year 12 Top Scholar last year, also earning the prestigious Cum Laude Award for gaining NCEA Level 1 and Level 2 Endorsed with Excellence.
Emily was awarded First in English, History, Mathematics with Statistics and Biology and was the worthy recipient of the Helen Griffith Cup for English and the University of Waikato Arts and Social Science Cup as the top performer in the Social Science Faculty. Emily also received the Education Trust Board Award incorporating the Tom and Rose Milne Scholarship.
Emily’s exemplary commitment and unwavering dedication to her studies was truly evident and she is to be congratulated on her success. We are hugely proud of her.
