Congratulations to Charles Zha and Hannah Wykes for their joint award of CHS Dux for 2017. This is an unprecedented occurrence to have two outstanding scholars of such high calibre and achievement that they could not be separated.

Both Charles and Hannah gained an Excellence Endorsement at NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3 and were also successful in numerous scholarship examinations as year 12 students.

This year Charles was First in Economics, Chemistry (tied), Mathematics with Statistics and Physics. Hannah was First in Biology, Design and Visual Communication, Chemistry (tied) and Geography.

They are both to be congratulated on their exceptional work ethic and attitude and we wish them all the best for what is sure to be a successful future.
